Student Council Elections Held at Govt. BHSS Lalpora; Mehraj Javeed and Shabnum Altaf Elected School Secretaries respectivly
LALPORA, LOLAB: In a vibrant display of democratic spirit and student engagement, Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Lalpora conducted its annual Student Council elections for the 2026 academic session. The event aimed to foster leadership qualities and institutional responsibility among the youth. Following a spirited campaign and a transparent voting process Mehraj Javeed was officially elected as the School Secretary, while Shabnum Altaf secured the position of Deputy School Secretary.
The culmination of the event was marked by a formal ceremony where the Principal of BHSS Lalpora presented winning certificates to the newly elected representatives. In his keynote address the Principal congratulated the winners and emphasized the weight of their new roles. “A student representative is the bridge between the administration and the student body,” the Principal stated. “True leadership is not about the title, but about the service, integrity, and the initiative you take to improve your environme. The Principal further highlighted the essential leadership qualities such as empathy, effective communication and discipline that are expected of the council members. The event concluded with a pledge by the elected students to uphold the prestige of the institution and work tirelessly for the welfare of their peers.
