Advocate Zargar Patnavi Extends Heartfelt Felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the Auspicious Occasion of Shab-e-Miraj*

Jammu, January 16, 2026: Advocate Zargar Patnavi, Director General of the National Human Rights and Social Justice Council of India Global (NHRSJCI), has extended warm greetings and felicitations to the entire Muslim Ummah on the sacred occasion of Shab-e-Miraj (also known as Lailat al-Mi’raj or Isra and Mi’raj)

In his message issued on behalf of the National Human Rights Global Family, Advocate Patnavi described Shab-e-Miraj as a profoundly blessed night that commemorates the miraculous night journey of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) from Mecca to Jerusalem and his ascension through the heavens. He highlighted the event’s significance in reinforcing faith, divine mercy, and the importance of spiritual reflection, prayer, and unity among believers.

On this auspicious night of Shab-e-Miraj, I extend my sincere felicitations to the Muslim Ummah worldwide. May the blessings of this holy occasion bring peace, prosperity, justice, and harmony to all. Let us draw inspiration from the Prophet’s (PBUH) journey to strengthen our commitment to human rights, social justice, compassion, and service to humanity,” Advocate Patnavi stated in the press note.

The occasion, observed on the 27th of Rajab in the Islamic calendar, falls today (January 16, 2026, in many regions, subject to local moon sighting confirmations). Muslims mark the night with special prayers, recitations of the Quran, and supplications seeking forgiveness and guidance.
